Rooms

11 Bedrooms

There are 11 bedrooms and suites in the house, each with its own bathroom and they can be configured in many ways, from double rooms to a seven-bedroom apartment and everything in between.

Kitchen

The main kitchen sits up to sixty guests and is perfect for hanging at the bar and drinking anise while watching the cook slaving away over the magnificent green enamel gas range.

Living room

The living room is the size of a modest basketball court, with a walk in fireplace and what might be the worlds’ most comfortable sofa, 4 meters in length.

Outdoor

Gardens

The property has many gardens and terraces and a wide variety of fruits, flowers and herbs. Figs, plums, kaki, olives, mint, rosemary, bay leaves, and thyme all perfume the air and make for great dinner ingredients.

Swimmingpool

The swimming pool is heated to around 28 degrees Celsius and there is a large cabana and grill next to it for eating al fresco at a table that can take 16 friends.

There is a small pétanque lane if you would like to hone your boule skills.

Private parking

Plenty of private parking.

Neighbours

There are no neighbours close by and the entire property feels very private and intimate.

Climate

The house is 500 meters over sea level with a drop-dead view over Provence, down to the coast. This makes for a very pleasant climate, always cool in summer, with breezes wafting through the windows set in thick stone walls, there is never any need for air conditioning.

Seillans

The village of Seillans is officially one of Frances most beautiful and started life in the eighth century, thereabouts. It has roughly 700 inhabitants and three very good restaurants, all with al fresco service. Both Deux Rocs and Le gloire de mon père have tables on plazas surrounding fountains, where chilled drinking water flows. Chez Hugo sources its vegetables from its own farm and has a Michelin mention. There is also two bars, both serving food, a pizzeria, a patisserie, a post office and a chemists, as well as small shops selling wine, pottery, clothes, etc.

Seillans is at the end of a mountain road and thus not a thoroughfare for tourists, so is remarkably quiet for a village situated in one of the worlds most beautiful areas.
